FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Short answers about what we do, what we do not, and how lots and requirements are handled.

What exactly do you sell?

Custom and standard FKM, HNBR and FEPM rubber compounds, and filled PTFE compounds (glass, carbon, graphite, bronze and MoS2), for sealing in oil and gas and other energy uses, plus the services around them: formulation, reverse engineering (Decode), test planning, and the Passport data that comes with every lot. We do not make O-rings or other finished parts, and we do not make polymers or PTFE resin.

Who are your first customers meant to be?

Seal and O-ring makers, and companies that mould rubber parts, who need a compound to a specification and want data they can use to qualify it and to keep it consistent.

Do any of your compounds hold NORSOK, API, NSF, WRAS or other approvals?

No Pascalor compound holds a third-party approval today. We explain what each approval means on the Testing and Reports pages, and we can help you plan the test programme with independent accredited laboratories. When a compound is qualified, the report number, laboratory, conditions and result will appear on its datasheet and in its Passport.

What is a Passport?

It is the record for one lot: the test results against release limits, cure data, the mixing site and the raw-material lots. You enter the lot ID on the Track page to see it. Costs, recipes and customer names are never part of it.

How do you keep batches consistent?

By fixing the recipe and the named raw-material grades, setting release limits from data, testing every lot for cure characteristics, viscosity, density and hardness, and watching the trend across lots. The consistency chart in each Passport is there so that drift shows before a lot fails. Read more in Batch consistency and traceability.

Where are compounds mixed?

In internal mixers (intermix technology) under a written mixing procedure, with each lot recorded against its raw-material lots, mixing sequence and temperatures. The Passport shows the mixing site for every lot.

Can you copy a compound that another company makes?

We can analyse a part you own or are entitled to analyse and develop a compound that meets the same targets. We do not copy recipes protected by confidentiality terms, patents or trade secrets, and a matched compound does not inherit the original's approvals. The Decode page states the rights and scope in full.

What are the minimum order and the lead time?

They are set per grade and shown on the compound page and datasheet. Custom compounds are quoted against the requirement.

Do you export?

Yes. We are set up to supply customers in other countries, and regional supply is designed for customers who need the same compound in more than one region.

Will you sign a confidentiality agreement?

Yes, a mutual agreement before we receive samples, drawings or formulations. You can read, sign and upload it on the NDA portal, replace a copy later, and check its status with your reference.

Can I print a datasheet?

Yes. Open a compound, choose Datasheet, and use Print. Certificates of analysis follow the same layout.

How do I contact you, and can I phone?

We work by email and through this web portal so that every question, decision and change has a record you can point to. Use the requirement builder, the order and lot tracker, the quotation portal or email us. If a call would genuinely help, ask for one in your message and we will arrange a time.

How do I become a supplier?

Register on the vendor page with your company details, what you supply and basic documents. Registration does not guarantee orders. We review each one and reply in writing.

How do I get started?

Use the requirement builder. Give us the properties, fluids and temperatures you know, and leave the rest blank. We reply by email.
